Mother Daughter Screw

This is where a twin screw feeder setup becomes useful.

Also referred to as a dual screw feeder or coaxial screw feeder, the system combines a main (mother) screw for bulk feeding with a smaller (daughter) screw for fine control. This arrangement allows the feeder to handle larger material volumes while still maintaining accuracy at lower feed rates.

The daughter screw is mounted at the outlet of the main screw, ensuring better control over discharge and reducing fluctuations. This makes it suitable as a powder twin screw feeder in applications where feeding consistency directly impacts process quality.
