Ash Conditioner


Cosben Engineering’s ash conditioner (also known as a pug mill) is designed for effective handling and stabilization of ash generated in industrial processes, especially in power plants and pollution control systems. In many cases, dry ash collected from bag filters, cyclones, or electrostatic precipitators becomes difficult to handle due to dusting and environmental concerns. A properly designed fly ash conditioner helps convert this dry dust into a manageable, moist material.

Also referred to as an ash conditioning mixer, the system blends ash with controlled amounts of water or liquid, allowing safe transport and disposal without airborne particles. This makes it a critical component in ash handling and dust control systems.

The unit is designed for continuous operation, receiving material from screw feeders, rotary valves, or similar upstream equipment. With a specially engineered paddle arrangement and atomized spray system, it ensures efficient and uniform mixing while maintaining controlled moisture levels.
