#What these cases have in common

One machine or a whole line, the engineering conversation is the same.

A single pressure relief valve on a ready mix silo and a complete cement handling system for a precast yard start from the same four questions: what the material is, how much of it, where it has to go and what the machine has to survive. Answer those and the specification follows.

01

Material, bulk density, moisture and temperature
WHAT IT IS

02

Throughput in tonnes per hour and the duty cycle
HOW MUCH

03

Centres, angle, headroom and the tie-in points
WHERE IT GOES

04

Abrasiveness, hygiene, ATEX or temperature constraints
WHAT IT MUST SURVIVE
