Job Description

  • Supplier Quality Audits:
    • Conduct regular visits to supplier facilities to assess their manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and adherence to agreed specifications.
    • Perform on-site inspections of materials and components to ensure compliance with quality standards and technical specifications.
    • Develop audit schedules and criteria, and ensure timely completion of supplier audits.
  • Quality Inspection and Reporting:
    • Review incoming materials and components to ensure they meet quality and performance criteria.
    • Document and report any deviations from quality standards, working closely with suppliers to resolve issues.
    • Prepare detailed inspection and audit reports, including observations, non-conformance findings, and corrective actions.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks in the supply chain, such as quality inconsistencies, production delays, or supplier reliability issues.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including alternate supplier development or process improvements.
    • Monitor supplier performance and identify trends or areas for improvement in terms of quality and reliability.
  • Supplier Development and Improvement:
    • Work closely with suppliers to enhance their quality control processes and ensure continuous improvement.
    • Provide feedback and technical support to suppliers to help them meet the company's quality requirements.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and reduce defects in future shipments.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Liaise with procurement, production, and engineering teams to ensure that quality requirements are understood and met by suppliers.
    • Support the procurement team in the supplier selection process by providing insights from quality audits and inspections.
    • Work with the quality control and production teams to address any issues with incoming materials and ensure they do not impact production timelines.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure all procured materials comply with regulatory and industry standards, as well as company specifications.
    • Ensure that corrective actions and improvements are documented and tracked.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of supplier audits, inspection results, and quality performance metrics.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to improve supplier quality and reduce the cost of poor quality (e.g., rework, scrap).
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging quality management techniques.
    • Implement best practices in supplier quality management and ensure alignment with industry standards.

Other skills & experience requirement :

  • Proficient in reading, understanding, and reviewing engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with quality inspection techniques, tools, and standards
  • Strong analytical/ problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office and quality management software.
  • Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, CQE)
  • Ability to work independently and conduct supplier visits as required.
  • Preferably from the process industry, chemicals, pharmaceutical equipment manufacturers, or project consultants (mechanical equipment/process industry).
